I've got a Tascam 234 multi-track cassette recorder (4 tracks with
dbx) that I haven't used in awhile.
It needs some TLC, or probably more specifically a new motor.
Otherwise, it's good for parts.
Electronics are all good and in fact, when I was finally able to
borrow another Tascam 4-track in order to transfer some tapes I had
made with this thing back in the 90s, I was pretty blown away by the
quality. Very warm sound and clean with the dbx noise reduction.
Anyway, I'm not looking to get a lot of bread for this or anything.
If you're in the NYC area, I'd be willing to give it away if you'd
like to pick it up. If I have to send it somewhere, then I'm going to
need a little bit just for ****pping costs plus time and trouble to
send it. Everything's pretty negotiable.
