Spring is in the air here in DC! The cherry blossoms are in full bloom
and the weather is delightful. (That is if you don't mind a little bit
of hail. Heck...it's downright Biblical!)
There are still a handful of tickets available for the Harmony
Sweepstakes Mid-Atlantic Regional this Saturday, featuring seven of the
best a cappella groups in the area, including last year's champs
Cartoon Johnny.

2006 brings us the 22nd annual Harmony Sweepstakes, an exciting
national a cappella contest spanning all genres of a cappella, with the
Mid-Atlantic Regional contest being held at the renowned Birchmere
Music Hall in Alexandria, VA on April 8, 2006. Come share an exciting
evening of a cappella with us!
This event presents an ideal op****tunity for the local cappella
community - singers and fans alike - to gather, get acquainted,
cheer on the competitors and find those a cappella CDs they've been
looking for! There is often as much talent in the audience as there is
on stage!
This year several exciting groups will compete, coming from as far away
as Florida, with diverse a cappella styles from modern to Jazz, gospel
to doo-wop, barbershop and more.
So mark your calendars, tell your friends, and get your tickets early
- this event has sold out for the last five years. Yes - a
cappella is alive and thriving in Wa****ngton, DC!!!
