Re: The End?

How does one "end" a newsgroup?  I thought they stayed forever. 
I know I've gone back to some I haven't been to in years and the 
dialog no longer has anything to do with the intended subject, 
but they still retain the name.  Is a newsgroup still a newsgroup 
if no one posts?
