I am currently dismantling a music archive and am seeking buyers and/
or collectors to purchase or take away material collected over the
last 30 years. I need to do this within the next month, as I am
moving and not taking it with me.
Since 1981, I have been putting together this paper archive with the
goal of creating a public music resource centre. It would please me
if I could find a home for some or all of it, and have enclosed a
partial list of my holdings. I will consider both donation (with
preference to public organisations) or sale.
Created between 1981 and 2003, the archive is at 150,000 items, all
originals. I am attempting to keep the 30,000 Canadian clippings and
sell or dispose of 100,000 in the next month. Or find a home for them
and allow the project to continue.
There is much for fans, collectors, scholars, music history
aficianado, and gift-giving. Otherwise, I'll give it away to those
who would really love them, instead of throwing them away.
Attached is the the list of articles on individual groups, and if you
would like examples of their quality, i.e. bibliographies on Pink
Floyd or Madonna, reply in an email and I will forward those
spreadsheets (google doc) to you.
If you are interested in purchasing, tell me what you are interested
in and I can send further details on that artist or subject.
Better yet, if you are associated with a community based arts group, a
music education organisation, or a public music library, it would
complete my goal and I would be at peace with that.
