I have an old audio tape with an Ellington concert, where Duke asks Sonny
Greer up front to the mike and tells hin to sing "It don't mean a thing if
it ain't got that swing." So Sonny takes the mike and tells the audience
that he is a much better drummer than singer, and then he walks back to
the
drums and leaves the spotlight to Duke, who is clearly annoyed.
Does anybody know that recording? When and where was it made?
