I've had much the same experience, Dan. On first listen, my feelings
echoed those of others who said it sounded too much like Shy Dog. I
just didn't feel that it compared favorably to their previous work.
But now -- I can't quit listening to it!

I tend to be overly critical of artists I really follow (i.e.,
Springsteen). I remember not liking the Born in the USA album on first
listen. I wasn't sure about The Rising either.

Resolution is the group's first album since I became a loyal follower
back in '97. I'm now pleased to say that they can play any of these
new songs in their shows without disappointing me.

Jim G.
