Not TOO far OT, given all the connections.

If you've been meaning to get to a Lowen & Navarro concert, let me
strongly urge you not to put it off any longer, but get out there this
fall and do it. They've got some exciting new releases coming out,
including a CD of covers that includes "Good Things" by You Know Who.
My guess is, the reason they kicked off the TFA encore with that song
is because they owe such a hefty chunk of their Milwaukee fan base
(probably in the range of 75 percent) to the BoDeans. Phil Parlapiano
on accordion and -- you guessed it -- Nick Kitsos on the shaker. And
just about everyone in the place on backing vocals. (And can I just
interject how cool it was to hear Nick again on drums? The guy is so
gifted, without being showboaty about it. Wish I could guarantee he was
going to be at all the shows, but some of you in the Midwest will get
to see him.)

A strong undercurrent of love was flowing through that room; something
magical was at work. I really hope everyone who's ever meant to check
them out gets a chance to feel that magic firsthand.
