I'm sitting here kicking myself because I was asked to go to see both
of these bands and declined - it's been a long cold winter here, too.
I've wanted to see the Saw Doctors for a while, but wasn't feeling well
when they were here the day after St Pat's.
Regarding Roger Clyne - would you believe I hadn't heard anything of
his until this past weekend? Now I am REALLY kicking myself for not
taking Mark up on his offer to buy me a ticket. Mark surprised me
with my very own copy of Americano on Saturday night, and it hasnt left
the CD player yet! (thanks Mark! I owe ya!)
The Gufs brought me out of hibernation when they played at Shank this
past Saturday night. Well worth the commute from the NW Chicago burbs,
even with the nightmarish construction in Milwaukee. The show was
phenomenal, and it was good to hear that they're recording again. I'm
pretty sure I was the oldest person in there, though : )

hungry baby waking up at 6am on Sunday : )
