"i liked WET WILLIE they had that song on the radio which was good,
they were a good band."
Man, I don't remember their music at all. There were SO many good bands
back
then; they're another that for me got lost in the shuffle.
"BOA was famous as they re did that old number
JIM DANDY i think RUTH BROWN did, i forget"
Right, Jim Dandy To The Rescue, that was Ruth Brown's big hit. IIRC, I
think
by 1973 BOA had this woman named Ruby Starr singing with em, and she'd do
that number with Mangrum. Bloody awful.
" they were totally
aggravtin."
That they were. Mangrum was like Mark Farner without any talent.
"the BECK et al was not to my thing. i think some of the member****p was
in VANILLA FUDGE also not to my likin"
That's right, they were from Vanilla Fudge, I forgot! I didn't really
start
listening to hard rock until they were gone; I only know em from "She
Keeps
Me Hangin On" or whatever, and from a story about groupies with a mudshark
that Zappa told on the Fillmore East album.
