Cake played a great show here in Philly last night! I've seen a setlist or
two from the past week or so and they played a lot of songs that weren't
on
those. I think they probably still get to all their songs at some point
(although they obviously play songs like "The Distance" just about every
night). At one point, John announced that they were going to play a song
from their first album and the crowd cheered. Then John said "No, stop
clapping. You're thinking of our second album." Then someone from the
crowd shouted "Motorcade" to confirm that we did know the first one. I'll
try to list some of the songs that they played, but it is by no means in
order and it might not be complete...
Comanche
Is This Love?
Frank Sinatra
The Distance (Last song from the main set)
Daria
Stick****fts and Safteybelts (YES! I was hoping for this one!!!)
Nugget (John kept saying "just sing 'shut the ****.' Don't sing 'up'"
This
took a little practice for some audience members ;)
Italian Leather Sofa
Never There
Sheep Go To Heaven (I think this was the opener)
Comfort Eagle
Wheels
No Phone
Waiting (Part of the encore...perhaps the very last song?)
