Re; lyrics.
I am pretty sure that the lyrics to Maresnest are about the TV being
being a substitute father figure. If you have the vinyl version of
OTLAITS on the lyric sheet the song is called "Daddy T.V."
"...with thanks mistakes my turgid gland for a hand..." surley a
furtive hand job in the dark rather than a wank? I prefer the sea
creatures in it linking it to the do***entry. After all, there are
far more of them in the words than turgid winkies!!!
I asked Tim what R.E.S. mean't and he said "nothing, some bloke said
it on the telly whilst I was writing it on my guitar".
