This is very good news indeed! :) Your tape is obviously a lot less
battered
than all the others I've heard.
I'm still planning to remaster the famous 'missing' tracks with my clever
sound processing software, and I think now I'll be using your copies as my
source material!
Is there any chance of you posting the songs at a higher bitrate? There
are
several copies already available at 128kbps, and although yours are far
better than the ones I've heard up to now, it seems a shame not to make
the
most of them. 256kbps encodes would be just great - this would help
enormously in cleaning up the sound as it gives the magic filters more
data
to work with.
(Tip: If you fast-forward the cassette to the very end and then rewind to
the beginning before you record, this will smooth out any uneven tape
edges
and prevent drop-outs.)
I'd only need tracks 6, 7, 8 and 11. The 'remastered' versions will of
course be made available via the usual channels...
Cheers!
