Arlo mentioned on NPR yesterday afternoon that Woody would have been 
pleased with the parody.  I happen to think it's hilarious and will never 
overtake the "real" song. When the election over, this will be too.

Arlo likened it to "On top of old Smokey" which most people sing as "On
top 
of spaghetti," in that, the original song is not as well known as the
newer 
version, but that the Woody Guthrie parody was not going to be a timeless 
effort as it had an end date. 

Bottom line is the original song is a classice, it's not going anywhere, 
and people who want to sue really need to get their senses of humor back
in 
order.
