Hi Micky and Mikey....that was a cool Robin Hood flash.....Micky, if
you're gonna take some of our great British stories away, can you give
us a new one or two???:).....
.....so,i saw your question,Micky, but actually hoped someone else
would join in with a concert re****t....only 'cause it would be nice to
for other folks to join in.....especially with the spammin and
crosspostin around here.....but, guess that' s not gonna happen....
......i've never seen Sarah Lee and Johnny completely by themselves in
concert.....but have seen them share a show or two with the Mammals
(Tao Rodriguez - Pete's grandson- and friends who are great and will be
touring with Arlo this year, but that's another story.....worth
checking out)....
.....Sarah Lee has this truly amazing voice, so lyrical and
expressive......and the longer she performs the more powerful her voice
becomes......she's developing her own style and stage presence with
more than a touch of the Guthrie humor, but her own spin on approach,
and her energy is so upbeat and enormous.....she's relatively new on
the guitar but making quick progress..... Johnny is a more experienced
musician with that bluegrass/bluesy style of guitar.....his voice is
somewhat quieter but no less expressive.....very Southern but very much
his own personal style......
.....their chemistry on stage is alot of fun.....they clearly enjoy
playing and performing.....joke with each other......and both have
written a pretty impressive repertoire of their own songs.....at least
half to 3/4 of their performance is their own, with a couple of Woody
covers.....they lean more toward rock than Arlo i would definitely
say.........they often bring their beautiful daughter Olivia (bout 3)
out to join them......she looks real comfortable there.....
....so don't miss it, in other words....they are up and coming but fast
and furiously so.....they can sell out a night at Club Passim's in a
flash and that's a tough crowd.....
you can check out their music on their website....

....and don't forget, they have a new CD coming out March 8.....with New
West records........i'm on their street team....wanna come to a release
party???:)....
have fun!!....and full review here expected......:)
take care, kj
