Mmm...
I can die happy now.
Wish I could've made tonights venue too.
Unfortunately, the camera started being snotty
and I didn't get decent pictures. I even briefly ferreted
my way into somebody's (unoccupied) reserved section to
get closer for better pics, but the camera went black.
(Which is just as well, seeing as my hands were
shaking - BIG time). Then a security woman said
"miss, you can't be in there..." so I apologized and
went back to my which I was told not to stand on. (Geez).
Honestly, I'm usually very well behaved, and
sat quite nicely though the rest of the evening.
I'm trying to retrieve some memory of the event, but
only remember "Hack 1," "WOYM," "Running," soil, and stuffed
penguins of increasing size. Lucky, lucky penguins.
The rest was a euphoric blur and the attempt to burn as
much in to memory as possible.
Paul, Kurt and Jim looked rather sma****ng on stage, and
I hope that it was fun for them being together.
The performance was brilliant - and the only sad part
was having to explain to the nice young woman in front of
me who was on stage. (She noted that Jon and I were a *tad*
excited about this particular band and she just had to ask...)
I was happy to hear the audience singing along to running.
And I was VERY happy that Insoc didn't have dancers, or band members
with the inclination to make sweet, sweet love to the stage, or perform
sweet, sweet faux oral-*** on each other (like TKA or Lisa Lisa's acts...)
Another odd thing...MC Hammer got booed, and many people walked out.
(Which I thought was just, well....rude).
Either Jon or I will post the pics we did manage to snap - which
will look like a sea of ants, with ants on a stage playing keyboards, a
bass, and one ant being quirky with long braids.
Sorry for the long-windedness...but, really, can you blame me?
Oh...and if the above is incoherent, I apologize for that too.
I drove for a total of 10 hours yesterday/ early today. I'm a tad loopy.
(But very very happy in a psychotic fan way).
