Dear Chamber Music Lover,
I am writing on behalf of the AlpenKammerMusik Festival, a new
experience for amateur chamber musicians that will take place in
Liesing, Austria, from July 6-15, 2007.
AlpenKammerMusik will be unique among amateur festivals in offering
the closest possible interaction between amateurs and professionals.
Every participant will perform in an ensemble that includes at least
one professional musician, and will also receive coachings from a
second faculty member. With only 30 students and 7 faculty, this
festival promises to give each participant maximal exposure to music
making at the highest level.
Liesing, Austria, is a beautiful and tiny village in the province of
Carinthia, just over the border from Italy, in the Lesachtal. This
lovely valley boasts incredible Alpine scenery, bed-and-breakfast
accommodation with stunning views, and the Volksmusikakademie and
Kultursaal in Liesing itself. The school and hall, which will be the
focus of Festival activity, were just completed in the last two years.
Our faculty are youthful, energetic, accomplished and successful
musicians from all over the world.
For more information, please be sure to visit our website at:

There you will find out more about our Festival, concert programs,
Liesing, and more.
We are very excited about our inaugural season this year, and would
very much like to welcome you to Liesing this summer. Please feel
free to contact us with any questions you might have. Or contact me if
you need a violist for a site reading party!
Yours Truly,
Daniel Swartz
