'Georgia' on YouTube
This is the first time I've heard of (and now seen) 'Georgia on My
Mind' being performed at the Last Waltz. It didn't even make the
recent 4-CD Last Waltz Box Set, which even contains the more obscure
and less impressive 'All-Star Jams'. Has anyone else heard accounts of
this song at the Last Waltz?
The only reason I can imagine for this track not being included on the
Last Waltz Box Set is Richard's voice crack near the end of the tune,
but who cares? This is great music!
The video looks like it was taken at the Last Waltz, with Garth's white
****rt collar, Robbie's ****ny bronze guitar, Richard's suit jacket, and
the gaudy chandelier decorations. It appears to be a bootleg video
taken by someone in the audience, but I can't imagine video cameras in
1976 were the most ****table objects.
What's the deal here?
