Hi
This is my first post to the site - so hi again. I recently bought
the remastered CD version of Big Pink. I have been doing a lot of
research on Bob Dylan lately and of course this has intertwined with
my first love The Band. Anyway I read "somewhere" by "someone" that
inclusing the bonus tracks was a waste of time and the original Big
Pink should have been allowed to stand in its original majesty. Now
I'm sure we could have a long debate about this, but what I'm really
scratching my head about is where the "somewhere" is and who the
"someone" is - it certainly was someone who seemed im****tant and
certainly had a strong opinion! I realise this is very vague (and as
with my reading on Bob Dylan I've learnt my lesson to do***ent
anything I might find of interest!) but wondered if anyone might know
what I'm om about - I've recently read Clinton Heylin's bio of Bob
Dylan and also regularly visit the Usenet site on Dylan
rec.music.dylan and also The Band and the BD websites.
Anyway, maybe someone will instantly know. Look forward to keeping in
touch whith this group.
