Re: The Band Lives On

That's awesome! I'm a 16 year old kid, who stumbled on the Band
unknowingly.

When I first heard the pained vocals of Richard in "Tears of Rage",
about a year ago, it made me enthralled with everything going on
musically and lyrically. I quickly purchased "The Band" and played the
two albums to death. Everything about the Band was beautiful! Robbie's
lyrics, Bob's lyrics, Manuel's lyrics, Danko's angelic voice (my
favorite in music history), Richard's soulful careening range and
Levon's gruff but distinct Arkansas howl.

I was hesitant to buy "Stage Fright" with critics telling of its many
weaknesses. When I did buy it, I realized the overextended criticisms
of the piece, and figured that all of the reviews were unfair. The
only album I did avoid was "Cahoots," which I purchased about a week
ago, and realized the understated brilliance of the album!

"The Last Waltz" is the best concert film I own, and even if Robbie's
an ass, The Band is the Best!

Cheers!
Ethan
