Some are surprised to find out that Beverly D'Angelo was a Hawk
(backup singer) w/ Ronnie Hawkins in the '70s. D'Angelo is well known
for her Ellen Griswold character in the National Lampoon Vacation
flicks. She also played Patsy Cline in Coal Miner's Daughter, same
movie that had a Levon Helm cameo. D'Angelo is interviewed in Hawkins'
Still Alive & Kickin' doc that focuses on his survival from a cancer
