Totally awesome. The circle is complete. Now, if they=92d just start
wearing face paint, they=92d have Kiss covered, too.
Seriously, from a business standpoint, it=92s a no brainer. They=92re
gonna get gobs of free promotion, and they=92ll be cutting out a lot of
middlemen (e.g. whatever overpriced record stores are left). I think,
but I may be wrong, that the $17.00 to $20.00+ CD is a thing of the
past. It is too easy to download or buy CD=92s online for the high
prices to sustain (CDs may go the way of 8tracks, too). The big
boxes are probably the only companies that can sell CDs in quantity
for under $15.00.
Moreover, they signed their record deal for Sony several years ago.
I=92d say the market has changed a lot since then. As such, do they
even need a record company now? Heck, they probably could of put up
their own money to record it and distributed it through [insert any
store] Walmart without Sony.
Just sayin=92.
