I am Nostradamus! :-)
After one listen to the VH-1 streaming preview, I rated it the best
album of their career... and after I would estimate 30 full listens, I
still rate it the best album of their career, though I readily admit
that not everyone's gonna have the same opinion.
CD 1 is heavier than CD 2. The surprises of course are Lost Love
from CD 1 and Alone, Visions, New Beginnings, and Future of Mankind
from CD 2. A reviewer from Australia mentioned this album as being
hilarious and in that regard, I would agree with the reviewer on the
song Pestilence and Plague. The surprise is the rest of the album
with War being the one song that doesn't really rock yet as a whole,
the album is at least proof the guys didn't just release another
regular album but had the guts to actually do something different.
