7. This week's top 50:

Melbourne-born Gabriella Cilmi spends a fourth week at number one
with "Sweet About Me". Her single is finally starting to take off
around the world, having recently gone top 10 in New Zealand and it
is just four places away from the top 10 on the British charts.
   Madonna's former 3 week chart-topping "4 Minutes" spends another
week at number 2, while Jordin Sparks and Flo Rida swap the number
3 and 5 spots from last week. Rihanna's "Take A Bow" bullets from
number 10 to 6 thanks to the full release of the CD single.
Joining the top 10 this week is the former US top 5 smash "Love
   Song" by Sara Bareilles.

After spending 2 weeks at number 8, Usher's "Love In This Club"
drops out of the top 10 and down to number 11. But he won't be
too concerned about that, as on the albums chart, Usher's new
album, "Here I Stand", debuts at number one and becomes his
first ever chart-topping album in Australia. But don't be
blinded by chart positions alone as his last album, "Confessions",
didn't make it to number one, but it did sell an impressive
3-times platinum, so "Here I Stand" has a long way to go yet.

The chart come-back of Melbourne's Vanessa Amorosi is complete
this week. After the phenomenal success of her debut album
"The Power" and its string of big hit singles between 1999 and
2001, commercial success took a nose-dive with two failed
subsequent albums and singles that got little recognition.
Things began to turn around late last year when her single
"Kiss Your Mama!" returned her to the top 20, while last
month, she scored her first top 10 hit in 7 years with "Perfect".
And this week, not only is she still enjoying a top 10 hit
single, but her fourth studio album, "Somewhere In The Real
World", enjoys an eager reception amongst music buyers as it debuts
at number 4. Now with a top 10 single and top 5 album to her name
once again, it will be interesting to see if Vanessa can blitz
the European charts like she did all those years ago.

So what happened to last week's 3 new hits? The Maroon 5
collaboration with Rihanna, "If I Never See Your Face Again",
moves up a little, from number 28 to 25 this week. It's a
different story for the other new collaboration of last week
from Busta Rhymes and Linkin Park. "We Made It" dives from
number 37 right out of the top 50. While last week's final
new entry, "Black And Gold" by Sydney-born Sam Sparro, bullets
from number 43 to 33 this week.

Just one new entry into this week's top 50 in a rather quiet chart
where over 20% of last week's singles remain stationary.

   42. STAY BEAUTIFUL - The Last Goodnight
       CD singles chart: #45
Digital track chart: (not in top 40)

American rock band The Last Goodnight first appeared on
the Australian singles chart back in January with the song
"Pictures Of You". In its second week on the chart, it
bulleted into the top 10 where it stayed for 12 weeks
and peaked at number 3. The group were in Australia on
a promotional tour last month, however they have been
unable to generate many sales for their album "Poison
Kiss" which was released back in February and hasn't been
able to crack the top 50 albums chart. However, the second
single from "Poison Kiss" is titled "Stay Beautiful" and it
debuts at number 42 this week.
