Hi Wendya, thank you for your comments on Troy Newman. It was so good
to read your notes about how you knew him, etc.

I was only 2 weeks ago that I purchased Troy's gypsy moon cd off ebay
as I only had his LP and thought it would be great to listen to in the
car. As soon as I got the CD as started listening to it, I was returned
to the 1990s and my fond memories of Troy Newman.

I thought to myself "I wonder what Troy Newman's up to now?" and
googled him on the net. I was absolutely devasted to hear of his
passing - I guess I got caught up with my own life and daily issues and
not much was heard about Troy Newman.

I "fell in love" with the handsome Troy in the video "love gets rough"
and when the chance to meet him in city Melbourne came up, I got time
off work and raced in to meet him at a record store. And he certainly
lived up to the image I had in my head - he was stunningly good looking,
extremely talented at singing & playing guitar, but above all else, he
came across as such a nice, kind person, taking the time to meet fans,
really talk to people and seemed very humble and considerate. I can
still remember every detail in meeting him, even after all this time!

I took out all my photos of him - Troy singing/playing guitar, meeting
fans, etc, and my most treasured photo - of Troy and myself - his smile,
his eyes, his arms around me - boy this photo has really blown me away,
now realising that Troy has gone makes me so sad.

While listening to his CD this morning, I really became quite sad and
teary - life really is so fragile isn't it? Was Troy really that
unhappy and sad that he wanted to end it all? It really is so sad that
he is gone - Wendya, you were so lucky to have known him and from your
stories, it sounds like he was a nice guy, which is great to know, as
that's the impression I got too.

I would love for you to email any photos you have of Troy, as he was a
part of my life (if only a small part), and his music is still as
special today as it was back then. Also, if you have any other memories
of Troy, it would be great to hear about them. He was a special talent.
He will be remembered fondly. He really was like an angel in a lot of
ways.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Kind regards, Lisa
