It took me a second listen to get into it. It's filled with a lot of
instrumentals and starts off pretty slow. Then it picks up about 4
songs in with Decree; Very energetic and politically charged - new ani
meets old political folksinger. Its followed by a twangy, countryish
song called 78% H20. Then another eeire political song, Millenium
Theater full of promise but far too short, but leads into this albums
masterpiece Half-Assed.
Lately Ani has been throwing a spoken word piece into the mix and this
time does so with Reprieve, an oddly familiar poetic twin to Grand
Canyon from Educated Guess. The album finishes up with a feministic
Shroud and a final instrumental adieu with Reprise.
