Here is my letter I sent to them for a horrible night without seeing
the show! :( Take fair warning before going there.
I wanted to inform you of a horrible experience I had seeing Ani
Difranco at The Town Hall in New York .I am appalled by the actions of
the Town Square Security staff concerning what occurred during last
night's Any DiFranco show. I spent $49.99 for a ticket, $20 for train
fair, and $20 for taxi, to sit on a sidewalk for 2 hours without a
jacket.
During the first part of the show I went to use the men's room and
left my jacket, with my wallet, ticket, license, etc, in it. When I
went to go back to my seat, I told the security guards that my jacket
had my ticket in it and asked to be escorted to the seat.
When I reached my seat I bent down to pick up my jacket when a
security guard accused me of stealing my own jacket. They grabbed me,
like a police officer arresting someone, and they both escorted be out
of the place like I was a criminal. When I told them I needed my
jacket they told I had to come back after the show and escorted me out
of the building.
The security made me sit IN THE FREEZING COLD night without a jacket,
my license, or my wallet. I ended up sitting on the ground outside the
theater. When I knocked on the door they would not let me in or go get
my jacket for me. Finally after two hours the African American
security guard brought out my same jacket, the one they said I stole,
and gave to me.
This was a totally un-appropriate and un-professional way of dealing
with a PAYING customer. I have seen over 100 shows since 1998 and have
never had such a horrible experience. I am a kind gentle persons and
felt like I was taken advantage of my over-zealous security. I am a 30
year old mature computer professional and would NEVER need to steal
anything.

Worst show experience EVER at Town Hall, New York
