....So when did this become "Satan's Holiday" as a number of Christian
groups have proclaimed over the past 20 or so years??
If they looked into their history they would see that this wuz an
early Christian festival to celebrate the harvest & to ward away evil
spirits(bonfires & such...there were no streetlights back then) on All
Hallows Eve in preparation of the Holy Day on November 1st, All Saints
Day.
Some people have toooo much time on their hands! It's now just a
simple celebration to have a party & carve a jack 'o latern & go trick
'n' treating! But I know a lot of parents that won't let their kids
"celebrate" it because it's "Satan's Holiday"! Since when???? Who
thought this one up???
It just boggles the mind! I grew up in a strict Christian
environment and we always celebrated Halloween with jack o' lanterns,
skeletons, ghosts & such.
I just guess every cause always needs a "bogeyman."
