This album does have a masterpiece, and that is "Southern California."

But, listen to the fade in at the end.... vocal outtakes on Lucky Old
Sun. Crisp, mean... and then Brian waters it all down and feeds us
overproduced Pablum. 

I think when you get old, you want everything with no sharp edges on it.
Those vocal outtakes ahd a lot of sharp edges. Why did Brian tease us
with them like that?
