Either this newsgroup has had no activity at all for quite a few weeks,
or I'm not getting posts somehow.
Anyway, I was at the optician's yesterday, and noticed that (among other
name brands), there is now a "John Lennon" line of eyeglass frames. Not
necessarily the styles Lennon himself wore, but the little print said
"Copyright Yoko Ono-Lennon" so I'm sure these are "official". Actually
his name seems a reasonable one to attach to eyeglass frames. He wore
gl***** (and around 1966, decided to "go public" about it). Also, at
least since '66, he obviously put some thought into his choice of frames.
What are some other occasions since the breakup where names of
individual Beatles have been used to sell a product that was not
directly Beatle-related?
