On November 11 1963, the song was already long recorded and finished.
They completed recording IWTHYH on October 17, 1963. It was
written with the American audience in mind and the Beatles probably
knew,
instinctively, they had a real winner. There were a million
advance orders for the single in the UK.
Remember George Martin told them "Gentlemen, you're going to have
your
first number one" the day they finished recording "Please Please
Me".
I'm just guessing they had the same feeling for IWTHYH, only better.
