I thought your original posts got a fair amount of attention, really.
It's not as if this is rec.music.dave.clark.five!

I must confess I was always very ambivalent about the DC5 - I can
remember when a local DJ tried to make a "contest" (really just a poll)
between the Beatles and the DC5, and honestly, it just struck me as
really lame. The two bands never even seemed strictly comparable - their
styles were very different (and I never was a big fan of the DC5, so they
just didn't seem to be in the same league). But I did hear them perform
at one of our smaller arenas (the same small arena the Stones used for
their first Montreal visit - not nearly as big as the Forum where the
Beatles played!).

Their fans should be happy ...

PS: a while ago, when the subject of the DC5 came up here (long before
the announcement of their getting into the hall of fame), I "looked up"
(euphemism!) their albums, and giving them a listen again (first time for
many decades!), I wasn't won over any more than I was all those years
ago. Sure, they had some catchy hits, but I still don't find it music I
want to listen to often. It somehow doesn't draw me in, the way the
Beatles early stuff did. Just MHO, of course - many kids back then
disagreed - but at least a consistent HO(!).
