Then, if plausible, I'm sticking with the theory that Ringo was not
actually in the hospital on the day the Beatles first appeared with
Jimmy Nicol on June 4. But he would have been on subsequent days for
further tests; and photos exist of him looking morose from a hospital
bed at the time.
Unless there's a problem with Jimmy Nicol's surname in the original
statement, as rags surmised....
