That makes no sense at all.  Especially when one of Stevens' biggest
hits was a Christian hymn with piano played by Rick Wakeman.  Neither
artist had much to do with The Beatles, except that Wakeman once covered
"Eleanor Rigby" and both were British.

Stevens' other big hit was called "Peace Train" calling for all the
people of the world to unite in peace.  Exactly what part of those words
offend you now that Stevens (Joseph Islam) is standing up for his
beliefs? 

If Steven's stance to defend his own religion bothered you, I'm SURE you
must have been upset at John Lennon's comments about Christianity.
