Re: New info: first Beatles newspaper articles in USA/Canada

1.  Marcus is absolutely right.  The Beatles were completely different
-- they were utterly authentic.  The entirety of their music came
directly from them to us, without adulteration.  (In this respect, I
regard Sir George as a Beatle.)

2.  The two biggest mysteries to me are:

    A.  How did The Beatles not explode here in 1963, with their
singles kicking around?  Why did the phenomenal She Loves You not zoom
to #1 when it was released on Swan?  Why didn't the radio stations'
switchboards light up?

    B.  What prescience led Ed Sullivan to book a foreign act for
three successive weeks?  Did he often book acts for multiple
appearances?
