I agree with you about a cover song not fitting on that album. I'm
almost sure they would have given Ringo a track, though, especially as
he had (I think) more scenes than any of the other three, and some of
the best-regarded scenes in the movie. Maybe they'd already written
something lightweight for Ringo (along the lines of "If You've Got
Trouble") but later decided it would be better staying unrecorded. Your
guess is as good as mine...
