For those of you who have the original 1994 edition (out of print for
years), it's worth noting that Piet Schreuders, Mark Lewisohn, and Adam
Smith have updated their original guidebook "The Beatles' London",
published just this year and available from ****tico/Anova Books.
I just got my copy today via amazon.co.uk. List price is £12.99 but
Amazon has it for £9.09 (€11,62). Not much in dollars either and well
worth the price.
Maps and photos are updated and expanded, as are alerts to former
Beatles-relevant buildings (such as EMI House, where the "Please Please
Me" and "Get Back" album covers were photographed) that no longer exist.
There's an expanded section on Beatles film locales, including places
captured on the "Mad Day Out" sessions.
The 6-inch x 6-inch book size is also more easily tuckable into a
handbag or backpack, for those of you who would like to use this as a
travel guide while in London.
Page count is 232 pp, with a nice index in back for quick lookups.
A pleasant time is guaranteed. And you may quote me.
