The 1990s US radio series "Pop Go the Beatles!" had an interview clip
where George Harrison himself said it was "F, with G on the first
string" (or did he say G, with F on the first string?). GM's overdubbed
piano may have included other notes, but GH wouldn't have known that
when he recorded it. Is there anyone here with a good ear who can say
what they're doing on any of their live performances?
