Greetings from an old timer

by reza <reza.ganjavi@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 31, 2008 at 12:07 PM

Hello. I used to participate in rmb in the late 80's and early 90's. I
checked back
a few years ago but it was a zoo. Didn't know this moderated group
existed.
Still, I don't have a lot of time to write but sure am glad to have
found you and have already found the threads interesting and
informative. Amazing what difference moderation can make on usenet. In
my mind it's a difference of useful and useless.

I am very grateful for Alan Pollack for having finished his notes.
What a great resource for us musicians and Beatles-Fan-atics. I
remember when he was first publi****ng those notes, and still had his
notes on floppies till recently.

By the way, does anyone have Alan's new contact address? I tried to
write to him at alanwpollack@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
 but he didn't respond. I
wanted to tell him that I put some comments about him on my website,
and his notes which he graciously has made, effectively, public
domain.

Anyway, nice to be back with you and thanks a lot to Saki for doing a
great job moderating this. I was so happy to see her name here --
she's an old e*friend, I guess that was before we had internet....

Kind Regards
Reza Ganjavi
