Been listening to The Beatles Reel To Reel tape Vol.1 & 2 originally
released way back in the days, mainly because it features some really
bizarre edits (as well as a different running order such as cassettes were
prone to).
Dear Prudence, Yer Blues, Glass Onion, Don't Pass Me By, and one or two
more
edited down (usually missing an entire verse) in a rather odd manner of
choosing, when it seems to me they could have saved time by simply fading
some of the longer and (to me) more boring codas out earlier (Bungalow
Bill
fer instance).
And even though it's the stereo version it is missing the reprise to
Helter
Skelter ('blisters on me fingers') and 'Can You Take Me Back' is missing
entirely.
It was released on the Millennium Collection boot CD some time back. As
this is about my least favorite Beatle album I never listen to it
normally,
but have listened now 3 or 4 times recently and of course tstill sung
along
lustily to many of the tunes that, favorites or not, are still encoded in
my
very DNA, because as Paul said 'it's the Beatles!'.
