The new issue of Uncut magazine (August 2008) has a headline article
about George ("The Lonely Beatle: The trials and triumphs of George
Harrison" - it says on the cover), plus a CD with a mixture of tracks,
half of which supposedly inspired George (Carl Perkins, Everleys, Roy
Orbison, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly,
George Formby), half of which are covers of George songs (Show Of
Hands, Damon & Naomi, Tanya Donelly, Galaxie 500, and others).
The article itself has contributions from Paul, Michael Palin, Patti
Boyd, Ravi Shankar and others.
Also articles on Little Feat, Fleet Foxes, Blondie, Suze Rotolo, Alice
Cooper and more.
This is not an advert. I've just gone out and bought a copy. I
thought you'd all like to know so you can buy your own - or not.
