Anybody in the Cleveland area, Waking Up Tillie will be playing two
sets of old-time tunes and songs (mostly old-time) at Rocky River
Presbyterian Church this Sunday, March 30. Please forward to people in
the area if you think they might like to hear some old-time/early
country music.
Waking Up Tillie consists of Randy Johnson, Pete Peterson, Terry
Burtyk and yours truly, Kellie Allen. We will be doing songs we got
from Wa****ngton Phillips, DaCosta Woltz's Southern Broadcasters, Frank
Jenkins' Pilot Mountaineers, Cooke Duet, Grandpa & Ramona Jones,
Charlie Poole, the Carter Family, Louvin Brothers, Carson Robison,
Oscar Ford, Skillet Lickers. There could be more, but I can't find the
set lists. You name it; we maim it. Fun for the whole family.
