Here's the announcement das kommittee has just sent out. I would like
to add
that I am not one of the organizers so its not me refering to myself
as the
local favorite caller. Of course its totally true. I am King Bubba!
Flee before
me! I would also like to add that the festival is exhausting but
exhilarating.
We workshop all day and then hit several private parties where the
music and
square dancing go into the early morning. The parties are
deliberately
encouraged to happen because one of the goals is to get a lot of
people calling
at their own parties, family events, neighborhood fairs, etc. Our
workshoppers
were able practice teaching and calling dances, and rounding up and
cueing
musicians, in an unintimidating and fun environment. Beer in hand, of
course. -

play the
public dance.
*SATURDAY NIGHT* Participants' dinner and house party with all-night
tunes,
dancing, calling, etc.
