Wow. You wanna hear something wild?
Leanne was here tonight and her 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend
(19) stopped by, because they were picking her up, and she was doing
my nails. (feet) (i can't reach) (i got a personal trainer, and I feel
guilty, because my feet are all dry and cracked and flaky, and he has
to touch them, to push me to stretch me out, while i yell in pain, ha
ha, and then it just hurts so good, i'm getting better already)
anyway, so she did my feet, and then even painted my toenails. :)
Anyway, the young man is from Guatemala, very polite and respectful,
they were both so cute together.
Anyway, right at the very end, he said, you have a nice house, and I
said, thank you, and we were standing in front of the Bob Dylan wall,
and I inquired nicely, a little hesitantly, like, "it's ok if you
don't know" and I said, "Do you know who this is?" and he looked, and
he was very hesitant, and then he says, "Jim Morrison?" and I smiled,
paused, and said, "No-o," and then paused again, and then asked
quietly, "Have you ever heard of Bob Dylan," and he wasn't quite sure,
he thought maybe yes, and I said, "Do you know the song Like A Rolling
Stone?" and he said he thought so, he wasn't sure, and then I said,
"Also, he wrote Blowin' in the Wind?" and he wasn't sure.
OK, I don't remember how it happened exactly, oh, I said, these are
all his albums, (shut up, I'm a stickler for the REAL Bob Dylan, the
OFFICIAL Bob Dylan, I'm PROUD of my honeybunny!) anyway, don't forget,
there's that beautiful picture of Bob Dylan in the middle, in the Nov.
2005 gallery at the picture archives) and he said, something in the
past, so he sang all these songs, something like that, and I looked at
him, and he could tell from my kind look and cocking of my head, he
said very hesitantly, "he's still allive?"
Isn't that just BEAUTIFUL?
It was so sweet.
When he said he was from Guatemala, I told him about my worry people,
and he said, this is SO STRANGE, that they are real, that there are
little tiny people who run around Guatemala (lol) who look like those,
like 6 inches tall. And he was saying some of the mythology about
them, like what happens if you catch one, or if you follow one, he
could take you to certain places, So Leanne and were like, OK, this is
some Guatemalan myth, like leprechans or gnomes or whatever, or like
bigfoot.
But then he INSISTED that he SAW one!
What could you say?
I asked him if he was on drugs. Leanne laughed. He said no.
Craziest thing I've ever heard.
