I think all clan tartans are OOP as clan tartans, being based on the 
inventions of the brothers Sobieski-Stuart or later imitators.

But they might be in period as tartans--i.e. as designs used but not 
associated with any particular clan.

I'm not sure if any of the regimental tartans are period or not, but the 
Black Watch regiment came into existence well after our period.
