So, I started off this evening listening to some old vinyl and was
reliving the 70s with Lindisfarne, Meet me on the Corner in
particular. Then I started thinking about getting a 12 string. I have
history with them but have been clean for many years now. Then I
spotted a Martin D12XI on a local auction site. Seems like a nice
compromise, reputable build but not too pricey. Maybe I need to get
along to a meeting, 12 step method and all that. 12 steps/12
strings, it all makes sense.
Oh did smile when the seller described the guitar as having "beautiful
woodgrains running the length of the neck..." laminate grains that is!
