Every once in awhile my brain puts things together the wrong way. I
was just watching a cable station show that featured in part one of
the wives of Henry VIII and heard these lines: "Catherine Howard was
tried for treason. The verdict was inevitable." My mind flashes on a
court scene. The gavel comes down and the judge proclaims the
verdict: "Inevitable!"
OTOH, it is rumored that the Howards were all born with a dotted line
on the back of their necks with the words, "Cut here!"
