Hi everyone,
So here in the "dog days" of summer (lots of work at the college for no
pay, studying, lots of guitar slow woodshedding that I need, but also a
'bone gig at Hollywood Bowl and a cool guitar concert to see this
weekend [Ed Gerhard], a couple of great lessons coming up, etc.) I'm in
the mood for a guitar gear treat. It's not time for a new guitar (is
there ever such a time?!), but I'm thinking of a nice, leather gig bag,
a la Reunion Blues or Levi's. Does anyone here use such a thing with
their nice instruments? I'm a little paranoid, but the light weight is
attractive, as is the possibility of back straps for when I'm lugging a
bunch of stuff. I would only use it when I'm confident of the
environment and I'm in control of the instrument at all times. If I'm
going to a wedding or something where I'm not confident of the
cir***stances, I'd use the hard case. I'm not fond of semi-hard light
cases like those by Breedlove, Protec and others, and I'm not looking
for a black nylon sort of case. Does anyone here use a gig bag, and are
you confident in its use?
Jenn
