A couple of months ago i posted about Fred's lastest aquisition, his
camper <g>...and i found out, much to my surprise, that i really
enjoyed camping. but, needed a camping guitar....
which is where John Holbrook stepped in and reminded me of his
friend's greg's 12 string seagull...well, the seagull has been here
now for a few weeks. I'm so pleasently surprised at it's sound and
playability, even for a goof like me. I've yet to figure out how to
play classical stuff on it, but i'm having a blast banging three
chords out on it...too bad i can't strum to save my life!
i've gotten Ed E's book recommendation-Rise Up, and the karl family is
just having fun laughing as i try to play something and we all sing,
badly too, i might add!
Anyway, if i were to review this guitar, I'd say, for the less than
300- i paid, i truly got a great deal. It's worth what i paid, and
then some <g>. my left hand is pretty darn comfortable with the neck
and have no problem (yet) with the 12 strings. but oh, i did pop one,
so we had a week of having an 11 string guitar....
