Just a quick heads up here--KVMR FM is currently streaming live from the
2008 California Worldfest at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass
Valley,
just a few miles south of Nevada City in the glorious western foothills of
the Sierra Nevada. And, taking the stage shortly will be the unbelievable
California Guitar Trio--three virtuoso instrumentalists who cross multiple
musical genres--rock, classical, surf..well, you name it and they probably
play it with ingenious creativity.
I caught the CGT live yesterday evening over streaming KVMR--a major
highlight was their unbelievable surf-guitar version of Beethoven's 5th.
They also played memorable arrangements of "The Good The Bad And The
Ugly,"
"Walk Don't Run," "Tubular Bells," plus a Bach Prelude.
And, the announcer just stated that they'll have the California Guitar
Trio
"coming up shortly." Not sure how long they'll be on-air, though. Some
kind
of interview will come up soon, I believe.
