If you get the chance, listen to Ray Charles' recording of the Henry
Glover 
tune, Drown In My Own Tears (ca. 1956).  In his key of Db, the vocal 
pick-ups are Bb - Fb  to a downbeat Db - with the Bb and Fb harmonized by 
dominant (#5) and the Db by tonic.  While harmonically, the 5th of the V+ 
chord should be spelled as E natural, the melodic Fb is really a "blue"
6th 
substituting for the chord 5th, Eb due to it's resolution down to tonic.
